Corker Disappointed Talks on Financial Regulation Broke Off
Sen. Bob Corker (R., Tenn.) said he was very disappointed talks have broken off with Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd (D., Conn.) and blamed health care and White House politics for the problem.
“I reckon Republicans want to see a excellent financial reform bill. I reckon Democrats want to see a financial reform bill. If we cannot do this in a bipartisan way, and I still have hope that we will, we can?t do whatever business anymore in the United States Senate.”
