Now that it’s all over, what did you really do yesterday that’s worth mentioning? ~Coleman Cox

Lies, damned lies and statistics about podcasting

Follow-up to the IABC world conference

Thanks to all who attended my presentation at the IABC world conference in Toronto (Integrating multimedia into your social media campaign, now available on SlideShare). While I have answered all the questions sent to me after the session (at smallest amount I reckon I have!), I’m by the forum of my blog to share a few things with you.

Someone questioned about podcasting statistics. Here are a couple to look at:
Edison Research: The Podcast Consumer 2009
E-Pusher report: Podcasting Goes Mainstream

I also have a PDF report about B2B podcasting. Email me if you’d like a copy.

Thanks to the organizers of the IABC world conference 2010. Everything ran smoothly, we loved exciting events (I loved Drum Café and am determined to take drumming lessons now), and heard some wonderful speakers – particularly Craig Kielburger, Shel Holtz, Katie Delahaye Paine, Les Potter, Jennifer Houston, Veronica Hope Hailey and William Amurgis (his session was on at the same time as mine, so I missed it, but I was fortunate to see an earlier iteration of it last fall).
Martell
I was also delighted to see my friend Annette Martell named an IABC Fellow (pictured here). Of course the social endeavor was incredible; there’s nothing more fun than hanging out with a bunch of lively communicators.

See you in San Diego in 2011.
