Observations on Edge of Explosion: Changing Conversations
After listening to BlogTalkRadio Edge of Explosion: Varying Conversations w/Dan Waldschmidt, I had to share my top take-aways with you here.
NUMBER ONE – Question yourself why you do what you do.
- Selfish behavior doesn’t make success
NUMBER TWO – Have real conversations
- Personal (with the person vs. at the person)
- Make you pause (shake things up vs. playing it safe)
NUMBER THREE – There is no simple answer or silver bullet
- Authenticity is the key and that is hard work
- Be disciplined
What am I going to do today and moving forward?
I commit to Dan, you, and myself to cut off the conversations that bore me… because if I’m bored, so are you, and that isn’t edgy OR valuable!
I wonder what would happen if we all made sure that our sales conversations were authentic. Perhaps:
- We would become a partner with our prospects
- Invaluable to our customers
- Pleased with what we’re doing
- Having fun; every day at work
I challenge you, to chose the why behind your mission and make sure that you work hard to be authentic in your own world.
Thanks Dan, for sharing! Have a fantastic weekend all.
